My NGO life

Sit in front of the office laptop, escape from the translating project for a few minutes now. Working extra-hour to translate the proposal for IUCN puts me in another extra-hour working in the office. Due date soon, and my organization trust me to execute the Indonesian proposal into English.

What makes it hard for me is I don't really understand the context of the project. I've never involved in the preliminary discussion regarding this proposal. Yeah, I do know a bit about sebatung Mountains from my easy-chat with the former campaigner of WalhiKalsel, Deddy Ratih. I do know the importance of act immediately to conserve the last forests of Sebatung Mountains. But it's not enough from keeping me asking and asking about incomplete information in the Bahasa Indonesia draft I held now. The proposal draft still miss important things. Wait tomorrow, see if it gets better as tonight the project people meets again while I'm here translating <ups..blogging, hehe...>

Well, doing several stuffs at once. Today would be great day for me. Having my other blog in Yahoo360 a mother language blog, as I'm really stunned with the article in the local newspaper telling that so many mother language had banished!! So, I just try to do what I can. Conserving the language I know. Finishing the translation and facing tomorrow with a ready to be sent to a local newspaper article coomenting the new plan of another palm plantation in my province....

Enough now. Few minutes ago I visited my blog. changing the "face" again. Don't like the dull white background...  This one posted through e-mail though. Testing the link, hope they work in the blog.

Back to work, still many things to be done tonight.
