Hero's journey

Today, as a blog reader, I found something interesting again. It's from lifecoachesblog, and I've subscribed it with my Bloglines. For free download of a mini e-book sized 165 KB, go to http://lifecoachesblog.com/wp-content/files/theherosjourney.pdf (its free as the writer/blog owner told so)

What makes me interested is that what I read there are alike with several life-phases I've been through. I love the idea that real hero shifts from ordinary man...Then, assuming that I am an ordinary person, all I need to do is strive to my integrity by following the path of heroes.

It's easy to be a hero yourself. Come along with me, to treasure the journey. Perhaps, it's a hero's journey you are taking. Khoda hafeez!

For Amang...

[The pic is cropped so well so as if only the two of us were in there, hehe...] Sometimes ago, when we were young. In a boat on the way to Tumbang Manggis, a small village in Cetral Kalimantan. As we are heading our way to the top of Bukit Raya in Central Kalimantan. [With Jaksa, Ka Zacky and Bob then...]. But the mission is dismissed due to the evil-Udut!

Have a blissful wedding my friend...
I bet your wife fits you the best,
she makes you complete and perfect.

Let me be part of your colorful life.
A life which I believe would be even more colorful as you live it with your new family.

Once again, have a blissfull wedding.
I'm happy for you.

Positive Communication..

Positive communication is very important for our mental health. Thats what Om Dani said in his recent post in vibrant community, a mailing list for the facilitators who are trying to develop the art of facilitation into its best form. As initiated by peole using the art of vibrant facilitation, most of the time we talked about "vibrant".

For me, the mailing list is among the ways I used to practice my critical thinking and positive communication. The mailing list is rich of positive questions and positive feedbacks. As humans, I believe that all of us are towards a positive direction in our lives. I'm on my path now towards integrity. So, what I gain from positive communication simply energize my actions.

Positive communication comes from positive attitude. And I think, positive attitude is a result of continuous practice with appreciation. Appreciation to yourself (self-esteem/confidence) and appreciation to people in contact with you.

A bit difficult in the first phase, but soon will be much easier as you get used to it. Start by filling your daily conversation with positive vocabulary. Put a sincere smile upon your face and generate one in everyone you meet during the day. Find blessing in everything happens and later on you'll see how easy to make blessing finds you. Anyone wants to add??

B' Jumping, the video

I've just created an account in YouTube. Just for uploading the short video as the boys do their Bungul Jumping (Bungul is Banjarese--traditional languange-- means very damn stupid!)for the first time. It is taken by using mobile phone camera. Ardian's mobile, if I'm not mistaken. Cool editing he did with the short takes..at the background, song from Indonesia's local punk band..Superman Is Dead.

Speed-Geeking...2 Amuntai

Today I just wanna put one of my biggest fun during AS2, THE SPEED GEEKING. Why speed-geeking? For me, speed geeking is a great way to share a lot of information efficiently. A session in which all the participants gathered together, shares what they have in mind within 5 minutes presentation. So, the presentation would have to be as clear, sharp and and simple as possible in order to be finished and understood within the 5 minutes provided.

And I plan to implement it in my session as I facilitate the environmentalist training. InsyaAllah, the next weekend I'm going to Amuntai with the Green Student Movement/GSM's training facilitator to have a training there.

For the environmentalist training, speed geeking would fit to replace the ordinary discussion as we facilitate the participants to talk about the current environmental condition (on their here and now perception). Or, even work well as the participants has their own green-ways of life to be shared/promoted...

We'll see later on, as speed-geeking is wide open for anything --knowledge, skill share, attitude campaign--you can explain within the time frame provided (Ideally 5 minutes).

Details on speed geeking is here: aspirationtech dot org
