I bought four books ready to be read.
Kisah Sukses Google, translation of the google story in Bahasa Indonesia.
Membaca pikiran orang seperti membaca buku, translation of How to read a person like a book.
And, two small books for my little brother. I've to read both befor I gave them to him...
Senam Otak, translation of Brain gym by Paul and Gail E Dennison
And Bahasa version of Tony Buzan's
Well, no homework tonight so I can start reading The Google Story. Why I bought all the translation version? It's much cheaper than the imported version. :)

Resource Mobilization, again :)
Today is a great day of my training. We're having an outdoor class. Spending some times practicing our new skill, direct dialogue skill, at the public place. Then, we have a relax discussion at a park in the center of Jakarta. What is surprising for me, in the heat of Jakarta, we can hear the chirping voice of the bird and a very fresh air under the trees...We're spending the afternoon in a park nearby Gelora Bung Karno.
Yesterday, I meet people from Oxfam Netherland/Novib (Leo and Sofia)and IUCN Netherland (Matthew, the Livervool guy). They're coming for a discussion with the board of director and managers. To have a presentation on the program, they're coming as funding agency. I was there just to listen and add more friends..:)
Great training here, and now I'm trying to make a step forward here. But, as with my word to the director of Walhi South Kalimantan, I'd stay and take care of the resource mobilization for a year. I love these stuffs I'm learning here. Still, I'm shaping myself towards integrity. I'm still in the passion to be a facilitator. As I said, my life is a journey. And I'm making it a meaningful journey.

Resource Mobilization
I'm in Jakarta. Here for a training and workshop held by the National executive of Walhi. It is training for resource mobilization staff. Mainly human resources of Walhi, the friends of Walhi. People who supported Walhi in their own ways. Volunteering or donating.
I've been here for five days now. Since last Sunday. And today is the fourth day of the workshop. Get another new things today. The class got a special guest (again!, yesterday she came here too). Ika the peniti pink, came as a friend of Walhi. She came to share about food not bombs movement. She's cool. Really is. She tells me she owns 6 blogs. Wow! Yeah, as we enter the pepi (Peniti Pink is clipped into Pepi) blog, we'd find the link to her other blogs.
With Ika, today we're watching a film about food not bombs event in Malaysia. Have just finished watching the movie. And now sitting in front of one of the office's computer, blogging, chatting and browsing. (wuih.. need a good partition to do such things at once..hehe)
Yesterday Ika also came. She shared about zine to us. And we were really surprised as we found out that one of the participants of the workshop, Ipang from Makassar, is a contributor for Ika's zine.
Great days I've spent, great people I meet. Another step towards environmental justice for all. And in Walhi, "Fundraising is friend-raising, a gentle art of giving"

I don't care what date today is. I just want the world to know I love my mother. So much!! She's the best.
I've just visited my parents today. I spent one night in my beautiful little village in Central Borneo. A village named Anjir Serapat, about 40 kilometers from Banjarmasin. Very close to the capital city of South Borneo, but a part of another province indeed.
I went home for regular but unscheduled visit. I came home to meet my parents as I'm going to have an intern out of town for two weeks. The big surprise is I found two bad news my family is trying to hide...my Mom tells me not she doesn't want to make me worried, but I DESERVE to know...
One, my father's right foot is injured. Deep cut caused by "tajak", a thing most farmers in my village used to clean the grass in the rice field. Used by swing it like a golf stick. The long sharp edge hit my father's right foot. He's got the skill for years, but that day my Abah was just missed something.
Second, My Granny -- older sister of my real Granny-- is in our home at the moment I came. She is ill, due to stroke. She cannot walk without my Mom helping her. Her at home, means my Mom has two mother to take care of. Plus my injured father, and my naughty little brother must have been quite a burden. But, she keeps on smiling.
My tough mother. How I love her so. Made her cry as I said it when I leave this morning..

By the way, according to the ad, the first prize is getting bigger today. It's now 7 million Rupiahs, about 700 US dollars. Previously it was only two million. What's so right here... I feel like not too many people interested in participating. So the increase the prize to draw more people into the competition.
Wish me luck my friends...Thank you

One post per day.. It's a bit hard to do recently.
Actually, there's nothing kept me away from the computer. I still spent some few hours in front of the online computers everyday. And the office's network is now using the unlimited connection with Speedy. So, no posting for the last few days is just because I'm not in the mood to post anything.
At the moment I'm preparing an essay for a competition. The competition is a part of a regency's anniversary celebration. The 4th anniversary of Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu. If it can be a reason, it is the thing kept me away from my blog.
The prize is quite good. 2 million Rupiah for the first prize. But another reward is the top ten work would be published in a book. The book would be launched on the day of the regency's anniversary, 8th April.
My birthday is one day prior that day...so, my writing in the book would be one of the best birthday present I gave to myself, hehe. Even better if I can get the money too, so I can treat my friends then.
Amin.

Today, adding more cute stuffs to my blog. The visible one is the tag I put above my personal profile. Isn't it cool? A tree for a present is obviously a cool idea, right? Yeah, I've joined tree-nation also joined tree-nation group in care2
Not only that, I've shared my blog to care2share. It's for my environmentalist passion. For my dream to live in a better, greener and fresher earth
I also interested in sisterhood in the web, so recently I add two sisters in my blogroll. Blogsisters and ecosisters . The first one is interesting because it claimed like this " where men can link, but they can't touch". Another surprise is, I find Anita Roddick as one of the "sisters". This inspiring woman, founder of The Bodyshop, is an activist in her unique way. Ecosisters is a blog managed by some Indonesian women activists. Cool fun entries they've got there

I've just linked my blog to Blogger Indonesia. I'm trying to build social network here, :). Besides, the name A. Fatih Syuhud had ring a bell in my head. I recall his name as a writer in globalvoicesonline Indonesia. I visited global voices online as I was told about it by Dina, one of my facilitator in Asia Source 2, the queen of blogging. Actually I inted to join it, but I still haven't got any kicking reports about Indonesia to be told in the site. Soon, I'll be there.

Back to work. All day long meeting. Morning, meeting for programming and evaluation. Here, We talked about all activities we've done in the past three month. In sharing session, we have brief presentation of events we attended. I, off course, shares about the great Asia Source 2 camp! This is the one and only formal session in which I talked about what I get in AS2 camp in Sukabumi. Previously, I only reported to the Deputy and have a discussion with my friends in the environmentalist training facilitators team.
Afternoon, meeting for preparing another environmentalist training in Medical Faculty. This one is the second special class. Unlike the regular class that takes place every Sunday afternoon, the special training is held based on any available time can be provided by our partner. With the students of Medical faculty association, we agreed to have a two days training. The training would be held next Thursday and Friday (8-9 March). As we've had the overall plan for the training, using appreciative inquiry, all we need to do is modify the approach to fit the allotted time
I've just finished the second meeting now. And back in front of the office's desktop. Good news is, we have an unlimited internet account now. So, it would be all fine for me to blog from the office comp. Hehe... But still, downloads takes almost forever due to the limited bandwidth

Lunar eclipse. Thats our topic today. This morning I was viewing lunar eclipse from a hillside of Mandiangin. Mandiangin is located in Tahura Sultan Adam, about 30 kilometers from Banjarbaru, the city I live in.
Along with two friends, Ul and Mala, that makes three girls go camping together, I insist to go although the weather don't seem to be good for sky observation. It was cloudy then. Fortunately, closer to midnight, the sky gets better and I can see the moon much clearer than before.
When girls go camping, chatting and munching dominates the activity, hehehe....We're lying in the open air under the moon, chatting about almost everything as we wait the eclipse to come.
We munch rambutans, choco bar and diet crackers. No diet at times like this. But, we still feel we need to have healthy foods. Chocs, off course, is one of the healthiest food of all! We need the calories for our hill-running in the morning
Not enough with the "light" food we muched, we then have our midnight meal. We bought "nasi campur" on our way to the camp ground. A full portion of rice with fried vegs and fried chicken. Yummy..
Too bad we're not bringing gas stove... so we have to satisfied with lemonade and cold coffee...hiks..some foodstalls nearby the camp ground wouldhv provide warm drink, but we are too lazy to move and we prefer to stay out of the crowd. Mandiangin is quite crowded, especially in Saturday night. As it is not too far from Banjarbaru. Even sometimes, people from Banjarmasin also spent their Saturday night there.
Lunar eclipse starts as we prepared to go uphill to see the sun rises. We leave the campground at four in the morning. The eclipse starts at 04.40, almost five in the morning. But, the moon already sets in the horizon before all parts of it gone with the eclipse..So here in South Kalimantan, I cannot see the total lunar eclipse.
However, its a great night for the three of us. Before going back to the town, we have great bath in a whitewater mountane spring of Mandiangin. Only the three of us, enjoying our natural spa and the healing power of the stream.
Lunar eclipse and sunrise by the hillside, great weekend spent with close friends...and all night long (almost!) chatting and munching, plus (almost) all day long revenge sleep. One of my greatest weekend. Things I should treasure in my journey!
